Incorporated in 1971, the City of Irvine is one of the nation’s largest planned urban communities encompassing more than 55 square miles; master planned as “Villages” with distinct architectural themes. The City recently annexed the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, most of which is planned to be converted into the Orange County Great Park with construction now under way.
